Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief and alleged mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and parliamentarian Mani Shankar Aiyar were both trending topics for a while. This is because the latter told the former -- on a TV talk show -- that he should be arrested and brought before a terrorism court.

While this made many happy, some were upset about Aiyar referring to Saeed as 'Sahab.' Amit Malviya asked: 'Why do the likes of Aiyar and Digvijay Singh, both Congress politicians, refer to Islamic fundamentalists as Sahab?' In a certain Manisha's words: 'Only an Indian politician can extend so much courtesy to a terrorist!' Then again, as Madhavan Narayanan pointed out: 'Aiyar can make a compliment sound like an insult, and vice versa.' Also, from Sahir Khan: 'Aiyar was just trying to speak in Urdu. Stop being so childish.'

Another scam?
A 64-year-old India-born Canadian citizen claimed he paid a $250,000 bribe to Praful Patel, India's minister of heavy industries and former aviation minister, in 2007 for securing a contract with Air India. Naturally, everyone online had an opinion to share. Ramesh Srivats tweeted: 'Now, Patel accused of taking a bribe. Man. One after another. Our politicians must be fatigued.' And from Paul Dueman: 'Dear Praful Patel, when in Canada, do as the Indian politicians do. Nice.'

Play, or else...
Proof that Australians don't like their own poor performers either. This is what Clint Wheeldon had to say after Shaun Marsh was out for a duck, again: 'Watching Shaun Marsh come out to bat is like the scene in horror movies when the perky teenagers go exploring in the woods...' And from Perdana Libera: 'Two things remains constant: Shaun Marsh's form and India's playing XI.'

From Indian news channel favourite Suhel Seth: 'Thank god for the Supreme Court, or else this country would have been sold without anyone even realising it!'
