Ahead of the inauguration of the new Parliament building, the political heat is simmering across India. Opposition leaders including Congress have vehemently opposed PM Modi inaugurating the new Parliament. With a boycott letter, several leaders demanded that President Droupadi Murmu should inaugurate the new building. However, the BJP-led NDA launched a scathing counter by unequivocally condemning the Opposition’s decision. As the heated debate continues, BJP and Opposition leaders are locked in a fierce war of words. PM Modi will dedicate the newly constructed Parliament building to the nation on May 28. The foundation stone of the new Parliament building was laid by PM Modi on December 10, 2020
