Seven sophisticated weapons recovered, aide in police net

A woman arms dealer and her aide have been arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police on charges of smuggling sophisticated weapons in Delhi and NCR.

DCP Crime Ashok Chand said that the accused woman has been identified as Kamla, alias Mamta. She is a widow and has been in this profession for quite a long time.

"She was arrested from Kanjhwala area in outer Delhi following a tip-off. Seven sophisticated weapons were recovered from her possession.

She was interrogated in which she broke down and said that she was going to sell all the weapons to a goon. Her aide Naveen has also been arrested," said Chand.

He further stated that she procured the arms from Lal Bagh area in Madhya Pradesh. The person who sells her arms is absconding and a manhunt has been launched.
