Justice Garg, on February 19, had given interim protection from arrest to Pachauri after he moved the high court seeking anticipatory bail on apprehension that during investigation police might take him in custody.

While passing the order earlier the court had disposed of his application following which he has to move the bail plea before the appropriate judge of trial court.

On February 19, the High Court had modified its earlier order restraining media houses from publishing allegations made against The Energy and Resources Institute's (TERI) Director-General, Rajendra Kumar Pachauri, by a woman research analyst of the city-based think tank.

Pachauri, while seeking an injunction against media from publishing the matter, had denied all the allegations and said he has been a victim of hacking.
