New Delhi: The Congress Party on Friday said that Pakistan should abide by the Shimla agreement while stressing that there can be no third party intervention on Kashmir issue.
'According to the Shimla agreement, there is a clause that we will discuss and solve our bilateral issues by ourselves and that there will be no third party intervention. This is our commitment and Pakistan should also abide by the Shimla agreement,' Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad told ANI.
Pakistan's National Security Advisor (NSA) Sartaj Aziz had said earlier that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will raise the issue of Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly's upcoming session later this month and will also present a dossier regarding alleged interference by India in the country.
"Pakistan will highlight the Kashmir issue at the UN and other fora as bilateralism envisaged in Shimla Agreement failed to achieve any progress," said Aziz.
