This is what 26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan's uncle asks before setting himself on fire in front of Rashtrapati Bhavan
"This is so frustrating and unfortunate. A son of India scarifies his life and the cunning politicians can't even hang Kasab," wrote 55-year-old K. Mohanan in his suicide note.

Mohanan, who is uncle of late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the NSG commando who was killed during 26/11 attack in Mumbai, set himself ablaze in front of Rashtrapati Bhavan's gate number 4 on Thursday evening.

Sandeep Unnikrishnan was a Major in the Indian Army serving in the Special Action Group of the National Security Guards (NSG). Major Unnikrishnan was the team commander of 51 SAG deployed in the operation at the Taj Mahal Hotel to rid the building of terrorists and rescue the hostages. He was killed in action while fightingu00a0 terrorists in the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.u00a0
His bravery was honoured with the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peace time gallantry award, on 26 January 2009.
Hailing from a Malayali family in Bangalore, he was the only son of retired ISRO officer K. Unnikrishnan and Dhanalakshmi Unnikrishnan. Sandeep completed his schooling from Bangalore and joined joined the National Defence Academy (NDA) in 1995 as a cadet.
He was commissioned as Lieutenant to the 7th Battalion of the Bihar Regiment(Infantry) on 12 July 1999. After serving the Indian Army in different locations in Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan to counter insurgencies for two terms, he was selected to join the National Security Guard. On completion of training, he was assigned to the Special Action Group (SAG) of NSG on January 2007 and participated in various operations of the NSG.
