When a box containing acid bottles fell on the Pune-Satara Road, three people were injured after some acid drops fell on them. The incident resulted in panic as it took place during rush hour.

According to the witnesses, a speeding tempo hit the speed breaker near an auto showroom on Pune-Satara Road. The incident took place at 9.40 am when many were on way to work. Witnesses said that 10 to 12 people were injured and at least three sustained burn injuries on their hands and face.

Commuters on the road called the fire brigade. Fire brigade officials said they had evacuated the spot and spread soil on the acid.
