However, when Deshmukh reached Chatushrungi police station to file charges against the duo, police registered a Non-Cognisable (NC) complaint under sections 323, 504 and 506 of IPC.

When contacted, a senior official of Chatushrungi police station, who did not wish to be named, said, “It was a minor incident. We have taken note of it, but will not conduct a detailed inquiry.”
