Deliberations during the conference and resolutions will forwarded to the concerned authorities for action, it was stated.
Meanwhile, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has emerged as a beacon of hope, providing affordable housing solutions across the nation. Launched in 2015, this ambitious initiative by the Government of India has made significant strides in addressing the housing needs of the economically weaker sections, transforming lives and communities.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was announced by PM Narendra Modi and was introduced with the mission of "Housing for All." The comprehensive scheme aims to provide affordable housing to the urban and rural poor, ensuring that every citizen has a roof over their head. The program has been implemented in phases, focusing on inclusivity and sustainability.
PMAY is divided into two components: Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G). While PMAY-U addresses the housing needs of the urban population, PMAY-G focuses on the rural segment, targeting those living in remote and economically challenged areas.
Under the PMAY-U, financial assistance is provided to eligible beneficiaries for the construction or enhancement of their homes. The scheme emphasizes the use of eco-friendly and sustainable building technologies, promoting a greener and more resilient urban infrastructure.
In the rural sector, PMAY-G focuses on providing financial assistance to beneficiaries for the construction of new houses or the enhancement of existing ones. The program aims to uplift rural communities by addressing housing shortages and improving living conditions.
