One of the cops sat on his bike and told him to take it to the traffic chowkie at Mahim. “One of the cops told me that I had to pay R5,000 as fine, to which I said that I did not have that much money on me,” Imran said. “I told them to confiscate my vehicle but they insisted that I call my wife. Meanwhile, the traffic cop was taking Imran to Mahim police station and to prevent him from running, he held his hand. But Imran pushed his hand away. This angered the cop who allegedly punched him hard several times on the right side of the head. Imran, who was crying from the pain, was taken back to traffic chowkie where his wife had arrived. Imran told his wife about the beating and she took a picture of the cop and identified him as Constable Bhushan Shinde. Then all of them came to Mahim police station and the complaint was submitted.
