Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation data showed that 15,201 samples were examined in the last 24 hours, which took the number of tests so far in Mumbai to 1,63,73,530. It also revealed that the city did not have any sealed building or Covid containment zone at present. A total of six patients have been hospitalised in the city today, out of which 1 is on oxygen. There are currently no sealed buildings in Mumbai and the city saw a recovery rate of 98 per cent.

Maharashtra on Saturday recorded 324 new Coronavirus infections and two pandemic-related deaths, the health department said. The state’s Covid-19 caseload rose to 78,70,951, and the death toll reached 1,43,752. There are 2,721 active Covid-19 patients in Maharashtra now. Currently, 18,009 people are in home quarantine and 554 are in institutional quarantine in the state.

Meanwhile, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has become the first city to vaccinate all its citizens with both the doses.  As per government data, the city has 11.07 lakh adult population. The corporation claimed it achieved 100 per cent vaccination.
