“The Maha Vikas Aaghadi is now doing low-level politics. They didn’t find anything against me, so now they are coming to my home. It will affect other residents too. But we are not afraid and will fight,” said Kamboj.

He tweeted, “Be it Kangana Ranaut or Narayan Rane, if they [BMC] can’t find anything to hold against them, they demolish the house. No matter what they do, I will not bow in front of Maha Vikas Aghadi government.”

Kamboj, who owns a jewellery business and is also a builder, was formerly the president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Mumbai and the national president of Indian Bullion and Jewellery Association (IBJA) from 2012 to 2019. 

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had, in a press conference last month, alleged that Kamboj was a frontman of opposition leader and former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, and linked him to the much-delayed Patra Chawl redevelopment project. Kamboj denied all allegations in a separate press conference soon after Raut’s. In October, Kamboj held another press conference against NCP leader Nawab Malik. 

Kamboj was also booked in a case at Santacruz police station for violating the Arms Act, after he was seen wielding a sword in a viral video on social media.
