The Mumbai-Goa highway was shut following heavy rain in the Konkan belt on October 3.
The Mumbai-Goa highway was shut following heavy rain in the Konkan belt on October 3. The Bansal River near the highway flooded, so authorities shut down that stretch. Those travelling in private vehicles were stuck on both sides of the highway as the road near Kudal was submerged.u00a0 Rains have also disrupted railway services.u00a0
Siddheshwar Telugu, PRO Konkan Railways, said, "There has been no cancellation from Mumbai. But trains from Goa are disrupted because of landslides at some places and flooding in Amboli Ghat." The railway website confirms disrupted services near Goa and Karwar stations.
