Dr Bimal Parekh and his brother Amal Parekh have been tentatively declared as the higgest bidder for Harshad Mehta's flats in Madhuli building in Worli. The duo quoted Rs 20 crores for the approximately 14,500 sq ft flats.
Eight of Big Bull's nine flats were up for auction. All the eight flats, on the third and fourth floor, are inter-connected.
However, after a request from Mehta family's lawyer, the special court has given a week's time for the bidder to increase their bid and also kept the bidding procedure open to new bidders.
Only six of the 20 people that inspected Harshad Mehta's Worli flats in Madhuli had turned up for bidding at the custodian office, Nariman Bhavan, Nariman Point, on February 4.
