“Through virtual workshops that we have undertaken since March, we have managed to connect almost 20,000 people with artisans online”, says Kartik Gaggar, CEO of Rajasthan Studio. This session conducted by artist-designer Saman Ahmad,  is aimed at teaching beginners — both adults and children — the basics of lap loom weaving. 

“It will include warping, how to create items like tapestries and wall hangings, and ways to use waste yarn or already existing materials,” Ahmad adds. Participants need few essentials like cardboard, needles, scissors, tape and woollen yarn, and will be taught how to make rugs and coasters.
