Omar and The Underworld by Varun Narain

Kolkata-based non-profit ThinkArts is hosting the second edition of the ThinkArts International Festival for Young Audiences virtually, bringing home 10 acts from across the world. “In the course of the past year-and-a-half, we realised that there isn’t much holistic creative engagement available for children in the online space, other than the commercial stuff. So, we had given grants for artistes to create work for kids in this space. We decided to showcase those pieces, as well as reach out to artistes across the world,” shares founder Ruchira Das. The shows this year include Circles by Helios Theater, Germany; Robot by Chamar Bell Clochette, Switzerland; The Young King by Slingsby, Australia; and works by Indian artistes such as Omar and The Underworld by Varun Narain and Gajam by Rasa Theatre Collective.
