Meaning: I first heard this word from my dad who’d use it constantly when I was younger. I don’t think there’s an alternative word in English for ‘thakela’. People from other cities give me the looks when I use it because I don’t think it’s used anywhere else. When you refer to someone as ‘thakela’ it usually means they’re missing something; when it comes to a situation, it means that it’s been done to death.
