Strive’s dead rejects collection
Would you rather own a Mona Lisa or the pixelated picture of a dog? To Leonardo Da Vinci’s dismay, the millennial would rather own the latter. Kartik Mehrotra seeks to dispel this very sheen of mystery around the financial phenomenon taking over the world. Having graduated from UC Berkeley, working on blockchain research and starting his own crypto education company, Strive, Mehrotra is hosting the Masterclass on NFTs: A Beginner’s Guide on May 22 to educate audience about the dos and don’ts of NFT-investing.

“For any asset on the Internet or offline, a non- fungible token is a record of your ownership,” he tells us. This could be artworks, videos or digital pictures. Sample this, he says, “You can either own the Mona Lisa or its copy. With time, the original will appreciate in value while the copy will depreciate.” With more than 90% of investors coming from the under-30s demographic, Mehrotra aims to educate audience to identify, invest and learn about NFTs the right way.
