Valentine’s Day is falling on a Sunday this year, making it ideal for a quick getaway. Beaches, mountains, or jungles, Mumbai is a stone’s throw away from all. While popular hill stations and beaches are teeming with crowds, it’s still possible to take a secluded holiday. We’ve rounded up a list of five offbeat getaways for you to explore this Valentine’s weekend.

Waterfalls galore

If you and your partner love nature, Bhandardhara is the ideal escape. Surrounded by mountains, the sleepy resort town near Igatpuri is home to several waterfalls as well. Top attractions in the area include the Bhandardara Lake, Umbrella Falls, Randha Falls, Wilson Dam, Ratangad Fort, and Kalsubai Peak. While the region is dotted with trekking trails, camping near the Bhandardhara Lake makes for a tranquil experience. The Ratanwadi village is a short boat ride away.
