It is somewhere from this positive zone, that the musician’s next single has developed. After Sazni and Savli in Marathi and Butterfly in Telugu, the affable artiste’s next single is a meditative interpretation of Hanuman Chalisa, which he has dedicated to his grandmother, who passed away a year ago. “My grandmother used to recite the prayer every day and it was she, who wanted me to make my own version of the Hanuman Chalisa,” he adds. Through this track, he hopes to instill the power of faith in listeners. “For me, Lord Hanuman symbolises wisdom, devotion and power and I feel blessed to have been able to compose this track,” he says. The music video for the song was shot in Kashid and along with the single, Ravjiani has also launched a mobile app and a pocket book, which explains the meaning of the Hanuman Chalisa.

Although the young singer has a host of Bollywood projects as music composer with Vishal Dadlani, including the upcoming Bang Bang and Happy New Year, singles give him a different kind of high. “Here, I’m just following my heart, and not some brief given by a movie director. I have been following a brief for the past 14 years and although that has its own magic, making music for myself gives me a lot of happiness and I sleep with a smile on my face,” says the 35-year-old.
