Ask her if a steady stream of shows involving real-life cases make people paranoid about trusting their neighbours and others around, and Singh states, “In such cases, ignorance is not bliss. I used to hug my friend’s daughter whenever I went to her place. Now that she is 13, she doesn’t hug me back. It’s not because she doesn’t love me, but because she is aware. It’s important for people to know what is happening around them. I am doing a good thing morally by being a part of this show.”

With the show slated to go on floors by the month-end, the actor will have to play the juggling game. “I have always believed in doing one show at a time. But July onwards, I will juggle 'Mauka-E-Vardaat' with the shoot of two web series. I will also [resume work on] Laal Singh Chaddha.”
