Huston, however, put his foot down when it came to the scene as he felt it was not required for the story but Taylor kept the footage.

Filmed in 1961, "The Misfits" was written by Monroe's then-husband, Arthur Miller, and revolved around three cowboys vying for the attention of a beautiful woman. It was Monroe's last film.
