Soccer star David Beckham beat Twilight star Robert Pattinson to be named the most stylish male in the UK, according to a survey of British fans.

The ace midfielder, who is known for his trendy style of dressing up, occupied the top position as the most fashionable male celebrity in Britain while Pattinson was named second.



Ironically, the survey saw British royal Prince William, who has been dominating the headlines for his wedding with Kate Middleton, as the country's worst dressed because of his uninspiring uniform of shirts and jackets.

A spokesperson for a retail chain, which conducted the poll, says, "William should be more adventurous."

William's father, Prince Charles, was also listed in the Top 10 worst dressed stars, along with Rod Stewart and Simon Cowell.
