Kumar who was last seen in ‘Ram Setu', is all set to make a thumping Marathi debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial called, 'Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat'. In the movie, the actor will be seen essaying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The Marathi magnum opus is reportedly based on the story of seven valiant warriors who had the sole aim of bringing Shivaji Maharaj's dream of Swarajya to reality. On Wednesday, the makers had organised a grand mahurat ceremony in Mumbai, where the film was announced. Along with Bollywood actor Salman Khan, political dignitaries of Maharashtra like Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MNS supremo, Raj Thackeray were also present at the event.
