Fashion passion sliced through the night air like a pair of scissors crafting cloth into a sartorial style statement. It was all haute and happening at the offsite show last night at Tote at the Turf, a kick-start to the Fashion Week from today till March 15.

Last night belonged to veteran designer Anamika Khanna with a merry mix of guests trooping in to catch a slice of the action. There was a crackle in the air with cheer and camaraderie among the likes of Sonam Kapoor, looking elegant in a black-and-white ensemble, Rahul Bose in virginal white, Sabina Singh with a flower in her hair, the sophisticated Rita Dhody and Hasina Jethmalani, couple-around-town Remu and Naaz Jhaveri and Anil Chopra, Ravi Krishnan and Sujal Shah.

And the talk veered towards the GenNext show, which enters its eleventh season at LFW, this time mentored by renowned stylist and designer Aki Narula, which would start things off. Expectations were also riding high on today's Tokyoeye show that would see the best of Japanese talent on the ramp.u00a0 The fashionable folk were all a flutter about theu00a0 the grand finale, which would feature designer sister duo Gauri and Nainika.
