Pooja Bedi will soon get engaged to Dwiti Vikramaditya, whom she's dating

Pooja Bedi is ready to take her relationship with Dwiti Vikramaditya to the next level. The couple will be getting engaged soon.

Though he is simply known as Aditya, she refers to him as Mr Thousand Roses as he keeps sending her red roses even after a year of knowing each other!

Conscious decision

Bindaas Bedi has played cautious and avoided being spotted with her man in public. "It was a conscious decision as he is from a different environment and I don't want him to be uncomfortable. More importantly, I don't want people he works with to look at him differently," she says.

Active Aditya

Aditya is from Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, and is associated with the United Nations Development Programme. He is also part of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences in Bhubaneshwar that works for the development of the scheduled tribes. "He travels a lot and is devoted to improving the lives of the neglected sections of society," says Pooja.

She has met his family members and Aditya has met her folks and friends. "I didn't want to rush into anything. He is a wonderful soul and all my friends tell me they wish they could clone him," she guffaws. "What attracted me to him was his simplicity."

Distance was an issue

Aditya will also soon be making Mumbai his base. "I am happy to know that he will be now staying here as distance was an issue but we tried to catch up with each other as often as we could," says Pooja who will be seen in a Telugu film Shakti opposite NTR Junior.

What an exchange!

After being part of the reality show Maa Exchange, Pooja could only pat her back to see how well she could multi-task. "I exchanged places with a housewife but even being that should be looked at as seriously as any other job. But there was total neglect of hygiene, kitchen skills and child rearing.

The child would be fed laddoos everyday as breakfast even though he has so many cavities! I am glad that I could make the husband of the house aware that he needs to have a maid in the house which he could well-afford and take time out for family outings.
