Prolonged stiffness, muscle strain, lack of exercise and creaking bonesu00a0-- the maladies of the modern man. Just think of the magical way in which a good massage can cure all of this. Here's what you'll gain from a good massage:

>> Massage therapy can really help with your blood circulation, delivering more oxygen and vital nutrients to the cells and will help your blood flow better. People with diabetes may notice the difference after a massage therapy. A massage helps carry oxygen through your body better. It is helpful for your heart too.

>> Research suggests that a good massage may also help reduce blood pressure. If you're interested in using massage to help control your blood pressure, talk to your doctor about getting a massage along side other traditional treatment options.

>> A good massage stimulates the lymphatic system, which carries away the body's waste products, thus acting as a detoxifier. It means better skin and hair.

>> Massage prevents and relieves muscle cramps and spasms. Researchers found that while massages did relatively little to reduce immediate muscle discomfort, they did eventually reduce the amount of soreness people experienced in the days following a massage. So, while your massage may not help your sore muscles feel better all at once, but you should be able to notice a changed feeling within a day or two.

>> Massage is the surest way to get rid of anxiety. Everything else will take longer. A good massage can rejuvenate your nerves like nothing else. So do not undermine its therapeutic benefits.

>> But here's a word to the wise: Steer clear of all massages if you have a blood clot, swollen blood vessels, or a heart disease, certain forms of cancer, skin conditions such as burns, cuts, sores, a severe back pain that could get worse with a massage, high fevers or chills. People with a mild stage of osteoporosis could benefit from massage if permitted by their doctors, but not otherwise.
