Asin turns 24 today. This doe-eyed beauty made an impact with her sincere performance as Kalpana in Ghajini. The actor from South is all set to again cast her spell on viewers with London Dreams this week. She talks about her growing up:



>>u00a0My journey: Life's been very exciting so far.u00a0 I started modeling at the age of 14 and films were a natural progression after I got offers from filmmakers down South. In Bollywood too, I got off to a great start with Ghajini, and London Dreams is equally promising. Till now, I have had the opportunity to work with big banners and stars and directors, who are not only good professionals but also friendly people.

>>u00a0My film: Every moment on London Dreams has been memorable for me. I shared a great camaraderie with my co-actors Salman, Ajay and Ranvijay. They were really caring and protective towards me. We used to hang out together even after work. I made a lot of friends. Of course, the outcome of a film is important for me, but the journey is equally important.u00a0

>>u00a0My lessons: Well, my dad always used to say, never let success go to your head and failure to your heart. It's one lesson I have learnt very well. One should always remain a simple person at heart.u00a0u00a0

>>u00a0My Expectations: I don't have huge expectations in life nor I am overly ambitious. I just want people to accept me as a talented performer. That's my focus at the moment. I love the song and dance routine. I enjoy the whole concept of entertaining people. However, I also want to experiment with challenging roles as and when they come to me.u00a0u00a0

>>u00a0My birthday: The most memorable birthdays have been the ones in my childhood. I used to get time to spend with my parents, cousins, relatives and friends. Moreover, at that time I had my four closest friends with me on my birthday. Even today, we are in touch via phone/email throughout the day but don't get time to be with each other. So far I haven't had the time to make any birthday plans for today. In fact, I haven't even slept properly since the past three days. I just want to make some time in the evening for family/close friends. That should complete the day for me.
