Ask Sonali Bendre when she plans to make a Bollywood comeback, and she'll quickly point out, "I'm not interested." And that's because the lady is very clear about her priorities -- her son and her home. But she has no intention of disappearing from the silver screen. Gearing up for another television show, Sonali speaks to CS about balancing work with family:



Sonny side up
I don't really miss Bollywood because I'm still a part of it. I've practically grown up in the industry and am married in a filmy family. I don't know of any other world. For now, I'm happy doing television and I'm not interested in films. I know that this is what I can manage given my current priority -- my family. I didn't have a child when I was an 18-year-old girl. I had a kid when I was ready for one, so it is my duty to give him my time and attention. Of course, my husband is also very involved in bringing him up, but what a mother can give a child, nobody else can. There will be a time when my son won't need me as much. That's when I might explore other opportunities.

Weight and see
Yes, I have lost some weight, but that's not because I'm trying to reinvent myself. I realise that I'm now on the other side of thirty, so I have to work a little harder to look good. I have really been working out and I'm enjoying this feeling of looking fit.

Getting real
I've found my comfort zone on the silver screen. Being a judge isn't as easy as it seems because you're not given a script. But it comes naturally to me because my people skills have always been strong. And even if I say so myself, I know that I'm articulate and more intelligent than I am given credit for.
