The company is currently in talks with some leading southern actors for the lead role in "Kahaani" remake. Sujoy Ghosh, who directed and co-produced the original script with Pen India Pvt Ltd, will step in as co-producer for the remakes as well, and will be working with a leading director from the south Indian film industry.

"I'm delighted to know that the film and the 'Kahaani' franchise are being handled by a reputed name in the entertainment industry like Endemol India," Ghosh said in a statement.u00a0"This association will help us reach out to audiences in the south. Here's looking forward to great success," he added.u00a0Endemol India plans to produce at least three to four films annually, with a balanced mix of southern and Bollywood scripts.
