From the creators of Monument Valley comes a game where you have to fix things. It’s a sweet game that has a very nice art style and it feels sort of satisfying to fix things. There is also a story to go along with the fixing, but essentially, it’s a game that feels more like therapy than gaming. As the game progresses, the things that you need to assemble get more complicated and, at times, it can be a little frustrating. The game works best with touch controls, so you might want to play this on your iPad or your phone.

Air Twister

Air Twister is a video game from the creator of the 1999 action-adventure game Shenmue. You play as Princess Arch, who must take on an alien invasion that’s threatening her home planet. The game has a lot of shooting and dogfighting, which works out better if you use a controller as opposed to a touchscreen. There are a total of 12 levels to complete in the main campaign, but you can also play the challenge modes for a little variety. The audio tracks for the game are composed by Dutch artist Valensia, and they are a joy to listen to while playing.

EarthNight

EarthNight is an auto-runner that actually has a story and looks surprisingly good. It’s got a really cool retro design aesthetic that will get you feeling a bit nostalgic. The plot of the game is that the earth is being invaded by thousands of dragons and you are the only one who can save everyone. It has you jumping from the upper atmospheres of earth, defeating dragons as you head down to the ground. There is a bit of skill involved in killing dragons before you hit the ground and that skill takes a few tries to perfect. The game works both, with a controller and with touch, which makes it a game you can play on any of your Apple devices.
