Earlier, in another Last 16 encounter, Christ Church (Byculla) staved off a late challenge from Bombay Scottish (Mahim) to snatch a close 3-1 win via the tie-breaker after the match finished in a 1-1 draw. Christ Church took the lead in the second half through Abdaar Chashmawala’s strike in the 31st minute.
