The Bengal seamer returned a career-best eight for 123 as the opponents were bundled out for 287 responding to East Zone's score of 315.

At close on the penultimate day, East Zone were well-placed at 120 for one with their lead swelling to 148.
Meanwhile, in Chennai, Naman Ojha (104) and Robin Bist (104 not out) helped Central Zone take a decisive step towards a berth in the final with an overall lead of 488 by close of play on the penultimate day of their semi-final match against South Zone.
