On September 2, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced significant advancements in the development of India`s agriculture sector. The Centre has introduced a new Digital Agriculture Mission, backed by an investment of Rs 2,817 Crores. This initiative aims to streamline the process of sanctioning loans to farmers through a digital payment infrastructure. By leveraging successful pilot projects, the new system will enable loans to be processed and sanctioned within just 20 minutes, significantly reducing paperwork and bureaucratic delays. This development aligns with the broader Digital Public Infrastructure framework for agriculture, promising to enhance efficiency and support for farmers across the country. The move is expected to simplify financial access for farmers, accelerating their ability to secure necessary funds for agricultural activities.

On August 16, ISRO successfully launched the third and final developmental flight of the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV-D3) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
