On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2024 on June 21, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale performed Yoga, While speaking to ANI, Ramdas Athawale said, "Yoga is very important to stay healthy... I urge people of the nation to practise Yoga daily...". On December 11, 2014, the United Nations announced June 21 as the International Day of Yoga, and since, every year, the ancient practice is celebrated worldwide on this day.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on April 14 inaugurated the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar on his 132nd birth anniversary. He also paid floral tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar. Minister of State for Social Justice, Ramdas Athawale was also present during the inauguration. Meanwhile NCP’s Supriya Sule paid tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar at Chaityabhoomi in Mumbai.
