Martyrs` Day 2024 or Mahatma Gandhi Punyatithi is being commemorated today as the nation observes the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on January 30. Nathuram Godse, a Hindu nationalist, fatally shot Gandhi on his way to an evening prayer meeting at Birla Bhavan, Delhi, on January 30, 1948.
