On September 8, security forces successfully stopped an infiltration attempt in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir. During "Operation Kanchi," Indian troops encountered and neutralized two terrorists in the Lam area making it a major milestone. The operation was carried out after the Indian Army received information from intelligence agencies and the J&K Police about the presence of these terrorists. A significant amount of arms and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized terrorists. On September 9th, a BJP leader identified as Munna Sharma was tragically shot dead in Patna`s Chowk area around 6:15 am. Sharma, a long-time BJP member and former Mandal president, was severely injured in the shooting and was rushed to the hospital, where he unfortunately died during treatment. The incident was caught on cam and has sparked widespread outrage. In response, BJP workers held protests in Patna, demanding justice for Sharma. The political atmosphere has intensified, with Tejaswi Yadav criticizing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of failing to curb the rising crime rate in the state.
