Skill set and success do not elude hard work, it garlands the individual with the highest honours. Kidambi Srikanth, who is known for his high-velocity performances and dexterity on the court, rallied his way to the top in men’s singles as Indian badminton carved out a wonderful legacy for itself in the 2010s. There has been no stopping him since.  Such was his commitment that he caused a flutter among fans by toppling the mighty Lin Dan in straight games at the China Open in 2014, stepping on the first paddle of victory.  (Pic Courtesy: AP)
