Randeep Hooda recalls experience of re-shooting a scene in 'Swatantrya Veer Sava

During a recent visit to Port Blair, actor Randeep Hooda shared insights into his portrayal of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar in the film `Swatantrya Veer Savarkar`. Hooda revealed that filming the iconic entry scene at Kala Pani was particularly memorable, as the original entry point was no longer present. Opting for aerial shots to capture the cinematic essence, Hooda emphasized the importance of setting the tone with a dark and eerie atmosphere, reminiscent of Kala Paani`s haunting history. Reflecting on a momentary lapse during filming, he recounted a humorous incident where the entire unit had to return for his forgotten glasses, crucial for completing Savarkar`s persona. Overall, the filming spanned 15 days across the Andaman Islands

Union Minister Rajnath Singh Interacts With Army Jawans In Andaman And Nicobar

Addressing the defence personnel deployed in Andaman and Nicobar Island, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on January 05 said that Indian soldiers showed bravery and valour in the Galwan valley during the India-China clash in December 2022. “Our soldiers showed bravery and valour in Galwan. Anything can be spoken outside but I know what happened at every step. I received reports and spoke with soldiers on how they took part in the India-China standoff, said Rajnath Singh in Port Blair.He also interacted with Indian jawans and officers serving in Andaman and Nicobar Island and commended the Command for strengthening national security and keeping the maritime domain safe and secure while playing a significant role in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
