Dressed in colorful traditional attires these men and women thronged the famous Khasi heritage village-Mawphlang in East Khasi hills district to celebrate 'Monolith Festival'.The festival is a cultural extravaganza to showcase and display the unique traditions through dances, music, handicrafts, cuisines and attires of the Khasi Tribe.

Prime Minister Modi was seen enjoying the traditional culture of Meghalaya where he interacted with the locals and even played their music instruments. He also took part in the cultural dance. The Prime Minister also savored a cup of traditional brew.
