On July 28, during the unveiling of Mahatma Gandhi`s bust in Edogawa, Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar spoke about Gandhi’s impact. He noted that in a world filled with conflict, Gandhi’s message of non-violence is crucial. Jaishankar emphasized that the new statue and park named after Gandhi symbolize a commitment to strengthening ties between India and Japan. He reminded everyone that Gandhi believed solutions come not from battlefields but through peace.
