WATCH: 3 masked men open fire, loot jewellery worth Rs 11 lakh in Khargarh

In Navi Mumbai`s Kharghar area, a jewellery shop was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night i.e. on July 28th. The incident took place around 10 p.m. when three masked men, dressed in black and armed with revolvers, burst into the store. They threatened and assaulted the staff, firing 4 to 5 shots within just three minutes. Despite the violent nature of the robbery, no one was injured. The entire crime was captured on the shop`s CCTV cameras. The robbers managed to steal jewellery valued at over Rs 11 lakh before fleeing the scene. The Kharghar police have since launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspects. Authorities are reviewing the CCTV footage and gathering information to track down the culprits involved in this daring robbery.

Union Budget 2024: Shashi Tharoor, Mamata Banerjee, Kharge & others react

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman`s presentation of the Union Budget 2024 on July 23 has drawn criticism from opposition leaders.West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee slammed BJP for lacking direction, neglecting people`s needs, and making empty promises during elections, especially towards Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge described it as disappointing, suggesting it primarily serves to bolster the government`s position rather than address pressing issues. He lamented the perceived neglect of promises made versus outcomes achieved. Samajwadi Party`s Dimple Yadav echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing unfulfilled promises and concerns over women`s safety and rural purchasing power. Akhilesh Yadav highlighted unresolved farmer issues and youth employment as critical unaddressed areas. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor called the budget underwhelming, citing inadequate focus on issues like MNREGA and common man`s income improvement.
