Interim bail has been granted to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal by Supreme Court. CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy case. The Apex Court referred his petition challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate to a larger bench. Supreme Court observed that ‘elected leader’ Arvind Kejriwal has suffered incarceration of 90 days. However, Delhi’s Chief Minister Kejriwal will remain in the CBI custody in the excise policy matter.

This is a big win for AAP leaders, country and people...” Notably, Vacation judge Nyay Bindu granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal on furnishing bail bond of Rs one lakh. The court refused the request of ED to postpone the process of filing a bail bond for 48 hours. AAP leaders Sanjay Singh, Dilip Pandey and Advocate of AAP legal team Rishikesh Kumar seemed ecstatic over the news of their leader’s release.
