Both business families are tight-lipped about the future date of the wedding; departmental inquiry into the case adds to Seolekar's woesu00a0

There was fresh drama after Anil Seolekar was arrested and released on bail late on Tuesday night. Confirming rumours, the wedding of his son Rohan with Aditi Kirloskar has been postponed.

Apart from the case registered against Seolekar, there is also one against his son Rohan, and it seems the family is in no mood to take chances.

Though a formal announcement has not been made, close friends of both the families have been informed about it. And there has not been any further date finalised.

Inquiry
On the other hand, even after CM Ashok Chavan's promise in the winter session that builder Seolekar should be arrested, he was issued an interim bail.

Reacting to this, Home Minister R R Patil has ordered a departmental enquiry of senior police officials responsible for showing laxity in the investigation.

"I would not be able to comment on this matter. Let me get the investigation details, then only I will be able to comment," said Patil.

Meanwhile, the investigation has been transferred to ACP V T Pawar. Earlier Senior PI Pandharinath Mandhare was handling the case lodged against Seolekar for allegedly attempting to kill the scribe.

DCP Zone IV Jalinder Supekar said, "The case has been transferred to ACP V T Pawar for better supervision."
While a salesman and cook working with Seolekar were remanded to police custody till December 18, Seolekar, his son Rohan and an accountant were issued interim bail till tomorrow.

Supekar added that Akhlak Sheikh, working as sales manager with the Seolekars, and driver Harpal Singh Randhwa were untraceable.

Delayed
Rohan and Aditi were all set to tie the knot around December 27 and the wedding preparation was to start from December 21.

The delay has come after Seolekar was booked under Section 307 of the IPC (attempt to murder) for thrashing a senior reporter of a daily and president of Pune Union of Working Journalists at his residence.
