Titled Jaanwar Special, the event will showcase 16 animal-centric stories where 30 storytellers will narrate heartwarming tales that humanise animal issues to help highlight much-ignored problems such as animal abuse. Other issues to be highlighted will include hunting, animal slaughter, and animal rights and laws.

Mehak Mirza Prabhu, founder, Jhumritalaiya, shares, “Imagination and individualistic approach will outline each story. It’s an opportunity for our students to showcase their talent. Several stories were shared with us in the lockdown, and so we conceptualised the show.” Compassion and empathy will be recurrent themes — much-needed qualities to tell stories and speak up for injustice. Promising to be light and germane, the stories across the show experiment with different formats such as duets and solo performances, and will include guest appearances by actors like Jim Sarbh and Zoya Hussain.
