Wine and cheese is a match made in heaven. However, pairing a specific kind of cheese with a wine that complements it can be a tricky affair. At an upcoming workshop hosted by Mansi Jasani, founder of The Cheese Collective, and Gargi Kothari, founder, Magic Cellars, you can learn the nuances of a wine-and-cheese combination. During the session, Kothari and Jasani will introduce participants to four kinds of international wines and four varieties of artisanal cheeses. For instance, one can expect to try cheeses such as aged cheddar or montasio with full-bodied red wines, and buttery brie or slightly tart goat cheese with lighter wines, she illustrates. “There will be a lot of nerdy, geeky exchanges on wine and cheese,” promises Jasani. And yes, they will also be discussing tips on looking out for wine and cheese pairings, and how to store the same.
