Fancy seeing your name on a mango tree you adopted and watching it grow and flower? At Aranyagiri, a 20-acre space located in Nagar, Shirur, Pune district, you can do just that. The farm allows you to adopt a Kesar mango tree either in your own name or in the name or memory of a beloved relative or pet, and the name your tree is adopted in will even be displayed on it.
This tree has been adopted in the memory of the writer's late father
There will be a website dedicated to it where you can watch your special tree flourish all year. Sanket Kale, 30, who owns the farm and conceptualised the tree adoption, and his team of locally sourced staff, will send three dozen of the mangoes to you sometime during the year. And, if you have the time, you can even drop by for a visit to see your tree up close, while enjoying the hospitality of the resort on the farm. Want one of your own?
