The show was to go on floors in May, but now we are looking at June, if the restrictions are lifted.” A sprawling set has been long erected at Mira Road, which is lying unused currently. A unit hand says, “We’ll shoot in a bio-bubble initially. Detailed storyboarding is underway to ensure that the show adheres to the vision of the OTT platform’s creative team.” Said to be based on the novel, The Rise of Sivagami, the series will focus on the character’s life before she married into the Mahishmati kingdom and her subsequent rise to power. The character was portrayed by Ramya Krishnan in the popular film franchise.
