Attending a ring-making workshop in Japan during a 2017 vacation came in handy. “We had told each other then that if this relationship goes all the way, these could pass off as our wedding rings. Four years on, these are actually our wedding rings. There is a triangle on my band, and a carved triangle on his. One is meant to fit the other.” Sounds romantic and dreamy, until Kholgade sportingly drops the punch line. “We were so lazy that we didn’t even polish them before our wedding!”
