Romanian singer Inna has been making waves on international turfs with a string of successful hits, like Hot, Sun is up, and Deja vu. The MTV Award winner’s latest offering, Party, promises to be another club banger, and an addition to her celebrated dance creations. “This is a fun anthem that you will want to dance to with your friends. I teamed up with Minelli for this track. She is among the artistes and songwriters I admire. Our musical styles are similar — they are energetic, and apt for parties,” Inna tells mid-day in an e-mail interview.

She describes her music sensibilities as one that is “inspired by people, feelings, moods, places, and encounters”. “Each year brings new experiences; some of them are reflected in my music.” Dance music in Romania, she says, is at an interesting phase of evolution. “It is growing. It has Latin and Balkan influences, but Romania is also home to EDM artistes who are topping international charts.”
